It’s not every day you see animals at a train station, but on
Wednesday at Union Station in Los Angeles that’s exactly what riders
The animals were there to ride the train to the Los Angeles County Fair in Pomona and that’s just what they did.
lambs and a chicken boarded a Metrolink train in Los Angeles and rode
to the Fairplex station in Pomona, where they stopped about 11 a.m.
makes extra weekend stops on the San Bernardino Line at the Fairplex
station during the L.A. County Fair. The Wednesday train ride for the
critters was intended to show the public the ease in taking public
transportaion the Fair, according to a Metrolink news release.
This year, Metrolink is operating an additional late-night train
to Union Station on the weekends from the Fair. The late-night Metrolink
service is funded by Metro.
