Two upcoming SR-710 North Study Draft EIR Public Hearings
Mark your calendars to attend at least one of
the remaining Public Hearings.
It is
important that everyone make a Public Comment. You
can simply state your Opposition to the Tunnel
Alternative and then ask one question on an
issue you are concerned with.
Examples:
- Why are
there no street exits in the six mile tunnel?
- What is
the contingency plan if the Tunnel Boring Machine
breaks down like it did in Seattle?
-
Where is the Cost-Benefit Analysis
we were promised? Without the Cost-Benefit
Analysis, our ability to evaluate the Alternatives
in the Draft EIR/EIS is compromised!
-
With the shortage of water in California, how much
water will be used by the tunnel boring machines?
- How much
will the tolls be, does that amount include payment
to the Public Private Partnership as well as
maintenance and operation costs?
- At the
North Portal, for the dual bore tunnel variation,
why is there no last chance exit or turnaround prior
to the tunnel entrance?
I attended the last two Public Hearings, the
format is as follows:
