Call to Action: Pasadena City Council Meeting

On Monday night (July 13th) - the Pasadena City Council will be reviewing the City's comments for the SR-710 Draft EIR.  

It will be important to be present at the City Council meeting on Monday to 
oppose the tunnel  and to support the Pasadena Working Group’s recommendations which include numerous recommendations for light rail, bus rapid transit, etc.   It is advisable to be in the Council Chambers around 6:30 in order to be assured of a seat.   For those that want to speak, you must fill out a speaker card.  Please remember to  keep presentations short  (1 – 2 minutes).  
Agenda item # 25 --  
SUBMITTAL OF COMMENTS TO CALTRANS REGARDING THE DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT/ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT AND PROPOSED ALTERNATIVES FOR THE SR 710 NORTH STUDY
Recommendation:

(1)
       Find that the proposed action is exempt from review, pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), State CEQA Guidelines Section 15061(b)(3); and
(2)
       Authorize the Mayor to send a letter to Caltrans on behalf of the City of Pasadena transmitting comments on the SR 710 North Study Draft Environmental Impact Report/Environmental Impact Statement (DEIR/S) as contained in the following:

         (a)    The 5-Cities Alliance comment letter (Attachment A of the agenda report);
         (b)    The supplemental City of Pasadena comment table (Attachment B of the agenda report);
         (c)     The Pasadena Preferred Alternative report (Attachment C of the agenda report); and
         (d)    The Beyond the 710: Moving Forward New Initiative for Mobility and Community report (Attachment D of the agenda
         report).
